Visit Parfondeval

A rustic and bucolic getaway

Come uncover the secrets that have made Parfondeval one of France’s most beautiful villages. Nestled amongst the green countryside, it promises visitors an idyllic escape where the preserved rural heritage is as authentic as the natural scenery that surrounds the village. You can’t get more picturesque than this. The village is populated by red-brick houses with slate roofs, typical of the Thiéarche region, and its main square features a cute little pond. There is also a wash house, protestant temple, pastures, apple orchards and woods…the exact definition of a peaceful country escape. Don’t forget to visit the Église Saint-Médard to discover the history of medieval fortified churches.

Maroilles cheese…

You can’t make Maroilles without a strong will to produce something authentic, something that comes from the land. Real maroilles cannot be made hastily in a factory. You must respect the ancient methods that have specific qualities. In the end, what matters most is a love of taste.
