The Maison Bleue

This blue house on rue Saint-Amant served as a leitmotif for Henri le Sidaner, appearing in several of his paintings. But the artist’s influence can also be felt throughout the entire village, as it was he who encouraged the villagers to plant roses in every nook and cranny. A village-sized rose garden that will awaken all your senses!

Time stands still in the garden of Henri Le Sidaner

Behind the Saint-Pierre collegiate church sits a small door that marks the entrance to 43,000 sq. ft. of gardens, arranged much like an Italian garden over three levels with terraces that extend all the way up to the painter’s house. As you enter, a stunning bust of Camille, his wife, welcomes you into the pastel floral canvas of white hydrangeas, tulips and daffodils. Visit the painter’s studio to see his works and discover how he captured the beauty of his gardens.

Le Jardin des Ifs (The Yew Tree garden)

This symmetrical garden with strict lines boasts classic craftsmanship and was designed by a pupil of gardener to the kings, Le Nôtre.
